OUR OWN FIELD OF DREAMS!

"BLOOM WHEREVER YOU ARE PLANTED!
--- Piet Oudolf, High Line garden designer

"Never be afraid to be a poppy in a field of bachelor buttons." --- Marilyn Buck

Saugatuck constantly surprises! Suddenly a meadow of wild flowers appears around the corner. It's the talk of the town. The locals are whispering . . . Just where is this secret place? Who created it? Why now? Is it simply a dazzling gift from Mother Nature? Finally, we're just thankful that it's brightening all of our days.

"Pleasure is like poppies spread: you seize the flowers, it's bloom is shed."
                                                                                      --- Robert Burns

Next, sweet local strawberries appear in every stand at The Farmer’s Market: Summerhouse Lavender Farm brews a special nectar; Virtue's Thursday market opens with both produce and dazzling crafted treasures. And, suddenly music is found outdoors is all over town mesmerizing us all as it drifts in from FennValley, Wicks Park, The Brewery, Virtue, Crane's, Salt of the Earth, The What Not, The Felt Estate, the SCA in venues large and intimate, and rehearsals for Mama Mia and the soon to arrive six-week Saugatuck Chamber Music Festival. The Summer Solstice has begun the celebration.

"As for what I do love, I love birds: I love lavender." --- Michael Moore

"Its not what you look at that matters, It’s what you see." --- Henry David Thoreau
