IT'S THE MOST WONDERFUL
TIME OF THE YEAR!!

With Holiday Specials For You.

"When we recall Holidays past, we usually find that the simplest things
- not the great occasions - give off the greatest glow of happiness."
                                                                                                                         --- Bob Hope

Wickwood and all of Saugatuck are filld with Holiday spirit from mid-November through the New Year!! We celebrate an old fashioned Holiday Season at its best. Tree tops glisten as our villages glow with a million dazzling lights, the boutiques are filled to the brim with great unique gift ideas, Santa arrives, A Christmas Carol and Carolers mesmerize us, every Santa in town struts in The Christmas Parade, candles, Christmas cookies and cheer abound, the Clydesdales pull their carriages through our villages, and fireworks dazzle over Lake Kalamazoo at midnight on New Year’s Eve! Trust us, the spirit is contagious!

"Christmas is the season for kindling the fire of hospitality."
                                                                                    --- Washington Irving

HOLIDAY  CHOCOLATE CREAMS

This very easy, rich chocolate pudding is reminiscent of French Hot Chocolate but on a spoon. The only trick is to find your prettiest and smallest dessert cups or glasses to serve this chocolate cream in, as just a smidgen, topped with a dollop of whipped cream, is the perfect Holiday Sweet.  Serves 6-8.

1¾ cups heavy cream
16 oz. bittersweet chocolate chips
(Ghirardelli or best quality, preferred)
¼ cup sugar
Pinch of salt
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla

1. Place cream in a medium saucepan and bring just to the boil. Meanwhile, place the chocolate chips in the blender and chop until a consistent powder. Add to the chocolate; the sugar, salt, eggs and vanilla and blend well. Pour the very hot cream in to the chocolate and blend until smooth. It will cook the egss as you blend it in.
2. Divide the chocolate pudding into your best small dessert dishes, cover with plastic wrap and chill. Remove from the fridge one hour before serving with a snowy mountain top of whipped cream.

"Christmas waves a magic wand over this world, everything is softer and more beautiful."
                                                                                    --- Norman Vincent Peale
